Inaugural Joint American-Israeli Conference in Israel 2008
The Inaugural Joint American-Israeli Conference on Cancer entitled "Novel Therapeutic Approaches to Cancer" was held in Jerusalem March 2005. The second Joint American-Israeli Conference was held in Jerusalem June 2006. The conferences provided rare opportunities for Israeli researchers and trainees to present and discuss their work and establish meaningful collaborations with American cancer researchers.
November 3-6, 2008, the American Association of Cancer Research held its Centennial Conference in conjunction with the Israel Cancer Association entitled "Translational Cancer Medicine 2008: Bridging the Lab and the Clinic in Cancer Medicine" in Jerusalem. Israel Cancer Association USA was a major supporter of the conference.
Many events and scientific programs took place during the conference: meetings, educational sessions, a methods workshop, round table mentoring sessions for pre and post-doctoral fellows and the overall scientific program.
